Can I Download !!INSTALL!! Steam Games On My Phone

Hey guys. So, yesterday night I changed my password. And of course, I had to restart my Steam and all that. I did so, and everything quickly came back to normal, except for my Steam Guard app on the phone.

Not only I did not receive a code automatically upon logging on the PC (which otherwise would happen), but when I go to my phone Steam app, every section I go to it says ''There was an error communicating with the Steam servers. Please try again later.''

Thus, I can't access nothing from my phone Steam app, and when I go to my profile it says ''0 friends, 0 games'' etc. But at least I can still go get a code (though I have to specifically go and click there to get one rather than just receive a code notification).

I tried to find a solution but no luck so far. Everyone (who had this) only has this problem on their PC Steam. My Steam on the PC is just fine. I do, however, have the said issue with my phone app for Steam. Any ideas what can be done?

So yea as the title says it. Phone died, lost steam authenicator. Really want to play Battlerite right now, its rainy outside and I got nothing else to do. if someone could help me, i would appreciate it.

So about a week ago I changed my phone number and only now I realized I can't find ranked games, it says that my account need to be linked with a phone number to find ranked games, but I already linked it AND also verified it.

I wonder if anyone experienced it before, the steam support only replied with template-ish reply stating that my account need to be above 100 game hours, unique and SMS verified, etc, but I already stated that my account already satisfied all of that requirements, and they never specified if there is something wrong with my new phone number.

My nexus 5x is having the rebooting issue and won't load up at all. I tried everything and I even talked to customer support and the only way to fix it is to send it to them. I'm going to be getting a new phone anyways soon, but I can't access my texts or anything in regards to the steam authentication process. Does anyone know any way I could login to my steam account while fixing this issue without a phone?

It's possible to disable the mobile authenticator through steam I believe, I did it on my alt account. i don't remember exact steps and I don't want to test stuff because I don't want to disable it on accident. But g\trying looking/googling around or try these two links they might be of help

So my old phone got stolen, and I'm borrowing a friends for now. I want to change my phone number on Steam... but I can't change/delete/or do anything with the old phone number until I put in the SMS code. Problem is, the SMS code can only be sent to my old, stolen phone. How am I supposed to change steam phone numbers if I can't access my stolen phone?

Many people used temp online SMS services for SteamGuard mobile authentication. It's rather idiotic that Valve isn't sending this via email (like they do password changes)...or like they used to (with SteamGuard codes which are not tied to the phone number whatsoever).

Free - it sounds great. Here nothing is free. Even if you go to the operator you buy a new phone (example that uses the new SIM cards) and sign a new contract. Nevertheless they will make you pay for your new card.:)

The thing is, you used to be able to use one of the emergency Steam Guard codes to do it...but then they changed it to a numeric SMS code that only gets sent to the very phone you are trying to remove. Brilliance.

The Steam Guard codes not at all any longer (I tested this today), and the R-Code is also problematic as there are reports that SMS is still needed sometimes when removing that. Plus it still doesn't allow you to change the actual phone number (I don't think). It merely deactivates the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator. Meaning you can't activate it again later on with another phone regardless.

I contacted support and after a week i get my old number deleted, they ask you for proofs, in my case i gave them a lot of game keys and fiinally my old number was removed

Tbh steam support is really shitty compared to other companies, i had a problem with my hearthstone account once and the blizzard support was really amazing. To bad that steam is getting sillier every time

Like nonamebg suggested you should contact your operator and tell them your phone was stolen and that you want to deactivate your SIM. Also that you would want a new one with the same number. Then try deactivating steam guard with it.

Like sometimes the screen is a bit steamy. I put it in the cabinet, hoping that will lower the amount of steam coming in, but still there is a little steam coming into the cabinet. I guess I shouldn't bring my phone in the bathroom if I shower. And I probably shouldn't take a shower at the maximum temperature so that it isn't so steamy.
