Over the past 5 years, Google for Startups has run Campus for Parents in 6 different countries, and welcomed almost 500 parentpreneurs - and now it’s here in Berlin!

What is Campus for Parents?

Campus for Parents is the world's first baby-friendly startup school. Through a 4 week program (two mornings per week) of education, mentoring, and community events, we help selected moms and dads develop their startup idea. Babies welcome!

When does Campus for Parents take place?

Starting November 5th, every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-2.00pm, at Factory am Görlitzer Park (Lohmühlenstrasse 65, 12435 Berlin). The nearest U-bahn station is Schlesisches Tor, or S-Bahn Treptower Park.

How many people are in the group?

We intend to welcome no more than 20 people for this, our second batch.

Are men welcome?

Yes! Campus for Parents is for both mothers and fathers!

Are my children welcome?

Babies up to 18 months are welcome to join us. They’ll be with you during the session, with ample space for buggies, a changing table, bouncy seats (Wippen), and playmats & toys in the room. Please note that we don’t provide a daycare service.

I’ve never started a company before. Is Campus for Parents for me?

Yes! Our participants have a wide variety of backgrounds & experience, from corporate high-flyers to artists, and anyone in between who is simply keen to change career. While we have had several second-time founders in our groups, the majority have never started a company before.

What are you looking for in applicants?

We look at each application on a case by case basis. In general, we’re looking for scalable ideas that solve a problem, with a founder who understands that problem. So, if you’re building an ecommerce site for luxury sportswear, you’re a founder who knows fashion or has some experience in online sales.

Do I need to pay for anything?

No, attending Campus for Parents is free.

What have previous graduates done?

One of our Campus for Mums Tel Aviv graduates sold their company for $20M, but we’ve also had graduates get into accelerators like Bethnal Green Ventures, win the Knee High Design Challenge and, most importantly, make money!

I’m a cofounder. Can both of us come along?

We’ve had cofounder teams attend the program in other locations, but so we can keep the group small, we usually ask them to share a place and divide sessions up by interest; for example, in one case, the more business-minded founder let their partner attend the business planning session.
