Board Commissioners

Each board has 1-2 commissioners that are selected by interview in February. These are known as ASB Appointed positions. They are in charge of leading their board and creating events to further the board's goals. To run for an an ASB appointed position, make sure to follow all of the deadlines below. 4th Period Boards:

Rally

They plan out and up with and executing rally ideas, write rally scripts, delegate responsibilities, run Rally Rehearsal
Cooperating with the Spirit Coordinator like running the student section during sports events and make sure students are involved in school spirit
Make TikToks about important events around the school to encourage people to come and support out school

DEIB

Plans Cultural events, books speakers, and organizes the Cultural Fair/Fashion Show.
Head of Diversity Board, oversees Monthly Flush, manages six members, and promotes a diverse, inclusive campus.
Collaborates with student clubs, hosts Equity Academies, and works with Equity Chair for campus diversity.

Student Support

Recognize and show appreciation to students and faculty
Create lunch time activities for underclassmen to participate in and get accustomed to Campo tradition and school life
Create the Compassionate Cougar Award who recognizes students who show kindness and empahty on an every day basis

Art and Publicity

Leads campus event decorations, emphasizing Homecoming, and manages poster creation, online promotion, and social media.
Head of Publicity Board, skilled in calligraphy and visual arts, ensuring quality promotional materials and efficient event publicity.
Oversees poster design, delegation, and removal, collaborating with the Tech board for effective online promotion.

Tech

Films and organizes rally videos, manages Leadership members, and uploads to YouTube. Handles event sound and video setups.
Proficient in iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, cameras, and YouTube. Updates school signboard weekly.
Head of Tech Board, ensures smooth audiovisuals and online content for school events.

Sustainability

Manages Recycling and Composting programs, promotes sustainability initiatives, and organizes Earth Week events.
Leads Earth Week discussions, plans pro-environment events, and collaborates in the school garden.
Head of Sustainability Board, overseeing initiatives to enhance campus environmental efforts.

5th Period Boards:

Social Affairs

Dance planning: Book DJ, coordinate chaperones, organize vendors.
Lunchtime tournaments: Run sign-ups, create brackets, supervise events, including powder puff.
Homecoming dance: Plan, organize, decorate; lead Powder Puff and Social Affairs board.

Student Affairs & Club Outreach

Lead all aspects of club-related events, from Club Day to supporting new club initiatives throughout the year.
Attend Instructional Council meetings to update department chairs and Mr. Alvarez on Leadership activities.
Present bi-weekly speeches at Acalanes District Board meetings, coordinating with Mr. Alvarez, and organize monthly student council meetings. Also, play a pivotal role in planning Freshmen Orientation and Frosh Programs.

Philanthropy & Community Outreach

Coordinate humanitarian efforts, including drives and volunteer activities
Develop school-wide goals and incentives with ASB for maximum student participation in events.
Organize philanthropic activities for students and Leadership class, lead Teacher Appreciation Week, manage class birthdays, and serve as Head of Philanthropy Board.

Sports & Activities

Manage sports team schedules, coordinate event advertising, and promote NCS appreciation.
Plan pre-game goody bags and vibrant tailgates for Varsity teams, enhancing the overall sports experience.
Ensure equal recognition for all sports, collaborate on advertising with ASB, and work closely with the ASB President and Vice President on NCS appreciation across seasons.

Publicity & Art

Leads decorations for rallies, dances, and campus events, with emphasis on Homecoming in the fall.
Oversee and actively participate in creating and taking down posters, including online ones using Canva, and manage social media platforms for event publicity.
Head the Publicity Board, requiring artistic ability, time management, and skills in calligraphy, painting, and drawing.

Tech (5th Period)
