Camping Gjelberim was born from a simple love: the rugged beauty of our corner of Albania and the warmth of true Balkan hospitality. We're a family-run campsite nestled in nature, where the mountains meet the sky and the only schedule is the one the sun sets for you.
We didn't start with big investors or fancy degrees. We started with a piece of land our family has known for generations, a few good tents, and a belief that travelers deserve a place that feels like home—even when they're sleeping under the stars. Over time, we've added cozy pitches for campervans, shaded spots for tents, and a small shared kitchen where guests swap stories over strong coffee.
What drives us is simple: we want you to slow down. Whether you're hiking through the Accursed Mountains, cooling off in a nearby river, or just hanging a hammock between two walnut trees, you're welcome here. No rush. No pretension. Just clean air, friendly faces, and the crackle of a campfire at dusk.
We may not be a big resort, and we're proud of that. We're the ones who'll remember your name, help you find the best local raki, and point you toward that hidden swimming hole the maps don't show.
Spacious, level pitches for tents and campervans, with plenty of shade from mature trees
Clean, modern bathrooms with hot showers (because roughing it has limits)
A shared outdoor kitchen equipped with sinks, prep space, and a few cooking basics
Free Wi-Fi near the main gathering area (strong enough to check maps, not strong enough to work all day—and that's by design)
Campfires allowed in designated rings, with firewood available on-site
Quiet hours respected — peaceful nights are part of the deal
No loud music or party vibes — just conversation, crickets, and the occasional owl
A family-friendly environment where kids can roam safely
Dog-friendly spaces (on a leash, please—we love them as much as you do)
Hike directly from the campsite into nearby trails and mountain paths
Swim in a natural river or lake (just a short walk away)
Borrow our small library of guidebooks and local maps
Buy basic supplies, local honey, and cold drinks at our tiny camp shop
Join our optional family-style dinner on weekend nights (when enough guests are interested)
No loud nightclub or bar
No RV hookups for large motorhomes (we're better suited for vans and tents)
No rigid rules or unfriendly staff
No crowds—we intentionally limit the number of guests
We've kept the reservation process as simple and relaxed as our campsite.
Visit our website and use the online booking form to check availability and secure your spot. You'll receive a confirmation email within a few hours. A small deposit is required for peak-season stays (June–September).

If you're passing through and see an open spot, just stop by the main lodge. We almost always have space for tents, though campervan pitches can fill up on summer weekends. Cash and card are both accepted upon arrival.
