🌿 An adventure that began in 1971
It all started with Bernard Morin, a nature lover drawn to peace and outdoor encounters. In 1971, driven by his passion for “old-school” camping, he decided to create a small, human-sized natural space by the river. No big infrastructures, no concrete—just nature, shaded pitches, and the joy of welcoming guests.
👣 A family tradition that lives on
Today, over 50 years later, it’s his granddaughter who lovingly watches over this unique place. She carries on the original spirit with care and dedication: offering campers a peaceful, friendly setting where the word authenticity truly comes to life.
🌞 What you’ll find here… and what you won’t
At Camping de la Rivière de Prats, everyday stress melts away. Here, time slows down. You read in the shade, swim in the Dordogne, share an apéro with your tent neighbors. With just 6 pitches, the atmosphere is intimate—almost like home.
No flashy pools, no loud entertainment… but star-filled skies, quiet evenings, misty mornings, and genuine encounters.
💬 Campers say it best
On review sites, the same words keep coming up: peaceful, warm welcome, idyllic setting, a return to the essentials. Many leave with a lump in their throat… and come back the following year.
Camping de la Rivière de Prats is a place to reconnect—with nature, with others, and with yourself. A rare, simple, and beautiful spot where you come… and where you return.
