Moors and Christians

Oliva hosts during the second half of July its traditional festivities of Moors and Christians in historical commemoration of the battles that were fought during the Reconquista.

This celebration declared a festival of Regional Tourist Interest is characterized by its spectacular acts and parades, not only for the costumes, but also for the participation of floats and mounted animals, such as horses, elephants and camels, for their boats, their groups of dulzainas and percussion or the large amount of gunpowder used, becoming a great visual spectacle.
