What is the physical address and directions to camp?

Directions – Take Highway 108 east through Sonora. About 30 miles east of Sonora, turn right at the Pinecrest turnoff. Go another half mile and turn right onto Dodge Ridge Road. After about a mile you will see the entrance to the Pinecrest Chalet on the right, get ready to turn right at the sign for Camp Chinquapin (our entrance is about 200 yards from Pinecrest Chalet). As you come into camp, the road to the right leads to the Dining Hall parking lot. The road to the left is a loop road that leads to the cabins, RV and tent sites.
Note: Use the camp name for GPS otherwise it will stop before you arrive.
Are chains required in Winter?
Please check road conditions before you travel to camp. In Winter, be prepared for snow and ice. Carry chains, food, water and appropriate clothing.
Where can I find the weather report or road conditions?
Weather can be found at AWN. Road conditions can be found at CalTrans. View the Dodge Ridge webcam.
Is Internet access available?
Yes, we have free WIFI around camp. Speeds and reliability may vary.
Do cell phones work at camp?
Only Verizon service works at this time at camp.
Is a deposit required to reserve Camp Chinquapin?
Yes, there is a $500 deposit required for groups in the booking process.
Are we required to have meals?
Please contact us to discuss meal options.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
Groups as small as 40 and as large as 160 are welcome at Camp Chinquapin. The number of guests is set by the Camp Director and Group Leader before a contract is drafted.
How many people can we bring?
Camp Chinquapin has space to sleep 115 in cabins. Additional guests can bring tents or RVs and stay in our available sites. The number of guests allowed is set by the Camp Director and Group Leader before a contract is drafted.
Can I rent a cabin, tent, or RV spot with my family?
Yes, we offer specific times for individual families to come and enjoy camp. Contact us if you have a specific date request .
Can people come who are not part of CrossPoint Community Church?
Yes! Please contact us to request a reservation for your church, organization or family.
Will we be sharing camp with other groups?
Groups enjoy exclusive use of our facility.
How many cabins can our group use?
Each group has the use of any cabins they need. Contact us for further information.
Where is the closest hospital?
The closest hospital is Adventist Health in Sonora.
