Directions and location

CAMP 2018 will be held at the University of Southern California, located in Los Angeles, CA. Scroll down for directions to the University Park Campus, as well as information on public transportation and parking.

The workshop will take place in the Seeley G. Mudd Building, SGM 101.

Driving/to get to USC from the 110 freeway: Take the Adams Blvd exit. Continue on Figueroa Way. Turn right at the intersection of Figueroa and Jefferson. Enter the campus at McClintock Gate by making a left turn onto McClintock Avenue (the first light). Parking information is provided below.

Driving/to get to USC from the 10 freeway: Take the Vermont exit south. Continue south on Vermont and take a left onto Jefferson. Enter the campus at McClintock Gate by making a right turn at the stoplight at Jefferson and McClintock Avenue. Parking information is provided below.

Public transportation: There are two Expo Metro Line stops near the USC campus, Jefferson/USC and Expo Park/USC. The stop closest to the USC Village is Jefferson/USC, and the stop closest to the Seeley G. Mudd Building is the Expo Park/USC. Parking structure: The Downey Parking Structure is located diagonally across the Seeley G. Mudd Building. It is accessible through the McClintock gates on weekends. Parking attendants at this gate will collect a parking fee ($12/day).

As you enter the campus through the McClintock Gate: If you are planning on parking in the Downey Structure, it will be on your right as you head down McClintock Avenue. The parking garage is located on the intersection of Downey Way and McClintock Avenue.

Surface parking lots: There are several surface parking lots on the USC campus. Lot #2 is the closest to the conference venue. It is located directly in front of the Seeley G. Mudd Building. There is a pay stall in front of the Hedco Neuroscience Building ($2/hr). This pay stall will require the license plate number of the car in order to process the payment.

As you enter the campus through the McClintock Gate: If you are planning on parking in Parking Lot #2, head down McClintock Avenue and make a left onto Downey Way. The parking lot entrance will be on your left.

Metered parking: On campus, there are metered parking spaces on Downey Way ($1.25/hr). Off campus, 2- to 4-hour metered parking can be found on Figueroa Street and Jefferson Boulevard ($1/hr Saturday, free on Sunday).

There are two hotels within easy walking distance of USC: the USC Radisson hotel and the Vagabond Inn.

Located about 2 blocks north of the campus on Figueroa St. (approximately 10 minutes from the conference location). Good old American motel, with free stuff included (such as wireless internet, continental breakfast, parking etc.)

3. Other Hotels/Airbnbs

Because of USC’s location on the Expo Line, hotels and airbnbs in Downtown LA, Culver City and Santa Monica are all within easy reach. You can browse hotels/airbnbs online at sites such as http://hotels.com or https://www.airbnb.com/. When making your reservation, be sure that the hotel/airbnb is within walking distance of an Expo Line stop; your feet will thank you.


4. Crash space

Some USC graduate students may be able to provide crash space for student presenters. If you would like to request to stay with a graduate student, please let us know via email with the following information:
