Mrs. Caitlin Ambrose

School Instructional Specialist

My name is Caitlin Ambrose and I am the School Instructional Specialist at South Mebane Elementary. I am so excited for the journey we will take together this year! This is my 11th year teaching at South Mebane. I graduated from Elon University in 2013 with dual degrees in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). I completed my student teaching at South Mebane and it immediately felt like home! I taught second grade for four years and kindergarten for six years. I am excited for the opportunity to work with K-5 students and teachers this year. North Carolina has become my home away from home after relocating from New Jersey after college. I absolutely love it here and enjoy living in Hillsborough with my husband, Forrest, our four-year-old son, Campbell, and our pup, Maverick. We are also expecting a little girl in November! I invite you to join me on this adventure at “Camp Ambrose” this year!

My Goals

Help K-5 at-risk students have success in school and reach their goals by providing them with academic and behavior support and interventions.
Provide teachers with positive support through coaching, professional development, and learning opportunities.
Empower parents to understand their students' learning needs and how to best support them on their educational journey.
Advocate for students, teachers, and parents to ensure the best experience at school for all stakeholders.
