Teaching
ENGR8990, Transportation & Infrastructure Networks
This course will help engineering graduate students to (i) learn the basic concepts of network modeling, (ii) get familiar with several classes of network models frequently used in the transportation engineering, (iii) learn some basic solution techniques, and (iv) understand their applications in transportation systems as well as other infrastructure systems.
CVLE 6900, Introduction to Intelligent Transportation Systems
This course presents the fundamental concepts of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to students with interest in engineering, transportation systems, communication systems, and vehicle technologies. ITS refers to information and communication technologies, as applied to transportation infrastructure and vehicles, that improve transportation safety, mobility, environment, and travel reliability.
I am hiring motivated Ph.D. students. Applicants with experience in machine learning, optimization, CAV development, and control theory are encouraged. Programming skills (such as Python and C++) are required. A master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant fields is preferred.
If you are interested, please send your CV, class ranking and transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) to Handong.Yao@uga.edu.
