I’m a Bolivian-Uruguayan writer. My first book, Diario de Alicia, won the National Poetry Prize "Yolanda Bedregal" 2005. Between 2009 and 2017 I wrote 8 plays that were staged in national and international festivals, and published my second book of poems, Caracol (Plural, 2014). In 2017 I won the National Novel Award for Soundtrack (Editorial 3600). In 2019 I published my first book of short stories, Cuerpos de Agua (Editorial 3600).  I am co-writer of the film Muralla (2018) and the miniseries La Entrega (2019), directed by Gory Patiño. Muralla won the Argentores Award for Best Screenplay at the Jujuy International Film Festival, Argentina, and was the Bolivian proposal to the 2020 Oscars.  In May 2023 I graduated from the MFA in Creative Writing in Spanish at the University of Iowa, where I wrote two novels (still unpublished). In August 2023 I start the Iowa Writer's Workshop Fiction Program, with the project of my first novel in English.

Soy escritora boliviana-uruguaya. Mi primer libro, Diario de Alicia, ganó el Premio Nacional de Poesía “Yolanda Bedregal” 2005. Entre 2009 y 2017 escribí 8 obras de teatro que participaron en festivales nacionales e internacionales, y publiqué mi segundo libro de poemas, Caracol (Plural, 2014). El 2017 gané el Premio Nacional de Novela por Soundtrack (Editorial 3600). El 2019 publiqué mi  primer libro de cuentos, Cuerpos de Agua (Editorial 3600).  Soy co-guionista de la película Muralla (2018) y de la miniserie La Entrega (2019), dirigidas por Gory Patiño. Muralla ganó el Premio Argentores al Mejor Guión Cinematográfico en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Jujuy, Argentina, y fue la propuesta boliviana a los Oscar 2020. 
En mayo de 2023 me gradué del MFA en Escritura Creativa en Español de la Universidad de Iowa, donde escribí dos novelas (aún inéditas). En agosto de 2023 empiezo el Programa de Ficción del Iowa Writer´s Workshop, con el proyecto de mi primera novela en inglés.
