It's a Whiskey Business was created by a group of myself and seven others as a collaboration project between the diffrent games disciplines (Design,Art,Programming,Testing and so on...).Â
The project was developed in Unity for around 12 weeks. During which most of my work revolved around the background systems of the game. Mainly the energy and time management. Making sure that Multiple screens at once could be increasing energy and time would continue onward between screens. My soloution for this was to make use of Unity and C# event system to tell an overall game manager what to activate and what to input into the total energy.
I also worked on the interactive elements of the game such as the levers and the dials being able to move and rotate them to increase the rate at which the energy was used and if it was producing at all. All at the same time being nice and easy to use.
Finally I created an objective system. So that certain points during the games work day certain instructions must be fulfilled to make a quota.
It was an incredible but challenging experience. As throughout the project the group had events outside of our control interfere with our workpower and our schedule. But I completed it more experienced and resilient than before.
