Camera Test Cards App
Cameras, including smartphone cameras, have several parameters, to evaluate which you can use an application called “Camera test cards”. You can download this application for free in the App Store.
Turn on the “Camera test cards” app on your iPhone or iPad and point the camera lens of the gadget you want to test at its screen.
The first screen of the application will allow you to evaluate the clarity of the image: if the thinnest strip is visible on the gadget’s screen, then everything is OK. Also check the visibility of this strip by rotating the screen 90 degrees.
The second screen will help determine whether the scan is working correctly - the inclined lines on the screen of the gadget being tested should not be broken.
The third screen allows you to find out how accurately the camera being tested distinguishes shades of gray.
On the fourth screen of the application you can evaluate the correctness of color rendering.
On the fifth screen, you can check the quality of reproduction of moving objects by comparing the appearance and position of the object on the application screen with the appearance and position of the object on the screen of the gadget being tested.
To switch between screens, simply tap on them.
