Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 20, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
Welcome to the Privacy Policy of HD Camera, a high-definition camera application developed by Hevin Technoweb Limited that provides beauty filters, ultra zoom capabilities, professional camera tools, and multiple video recording modes.
This Privacy Policy describes what information (if any) is collected when you use our mobile application on Android devices, how it is used, and your related rights.
The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as name, email, or phone number. All photo/video capture, editing, and local storage operations happen entirely on your device.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal data that can identify you as an individual (such as name, email address, phone number, precise location history, contacts, or similar identifiers).
The App processes photos, videos, filters, and settings locally on your device only. This content never leaves your device through our application unless you yourself decide to share it (e.g., via messaging apps, social media, email, cloud storage, etc.).
We use Firebase Analytics to collect completely anonymous, non-personal usage statistics and crash reports (for example: which features are used most often, general device model, App version, crash logs without any user identifiers). This helps us improve stability and user experience. No data collected through Firebase personally identifies you.
Advertising networks (listed in section 7) may collect certain device-level information for ad serving purposes according to their own policies.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
Because we collect and process almost no personal data under the definition of the GDPR, most activities do not require a specific legal basis. Where limited processing occurs (mainly through third-party SDKs for analytics and advertising):
Legitimate interests — Used for anonymous performance analytics (Firebase) and showing contextual / interest-based advertisements to support the free version of the App.
Consent — Obtained when you grant runtime permissions (camera, microphone, location, storage, notifications). You can withdraw consent at any time by revoking permissions in device settings.
Contractual necessity — Necessary to deliver the core camera and video recording functionality you expect when using the App.
Third-party advertising and analytics providers act as independent data controllers and are responsible for their own GDPR compliance.
4. Permissions We Use in Our App and Why
The App only requests permissions that are strictly necessary for its core and advertised features. You always control whether to grant these permissions and can revoke them anytime through your Android device settings → Apps → HD Camera → Permissions.
Here is a clear explanation of each permission:
android.permission.CAMERA Essential for accessing the device’s camera hardware to let you preview, capture photos, apply real-time beauty filters, use ultra zoom, access pro camera controls (ISO, shutter speed, white balance, etc.), and record videos in different modes. Without this permission the App cannot function as a camera.
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO Required when recording videos so the App can capture sound from the device’s microphone(s). Also supports any voice-activated or voice-capture features (powered by Vosk in relevant modes).
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS Allows the App to show optional system notifications, for example alerts about completed video processing, low-light warnings, or important App updates. You can disable notifications anytime.
android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGESandroid.permission.READ_MEDIA_VIDEOandroid.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (for older Android versions) android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (for older Android versions) These permissions let the App read from and write to your device’s photo/video folders so you can: • View and select existing media from your gallery inside the App • Save newly captured or edited photos and videos to your device • Display thumbnails and previews efficiently
android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATIONandroid.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONOptional — only used if you explicitly enable location tagging. When granted, the App can read your current approximate or precise location at the moment of capture and embed it into the EXIF metadata of the photo or video file (a standard feature in professional cameras). The App does not track your location continuously, does not store location history, and does not send location data anywhere. Location is written only into the media file you save on your device.
5. Data Storage and Security
All photos, videos, filters, settings, and temporary processing files are stored exclusively on your device. We do not have servers that receive, store, or access your media content.
Anonymous analytics information sent to Firebase is transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS). We follow industry-standard secure coding practices and regularly update the App to address known vulnerabilities. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is ever 100% secure.
6. Third-Party Libraries & SDKs Used in Our App
We rely on the following well-known, trusted libraries and SDKs to build a stable and feature-rich camera experience:
Firebase Analytics — Collects anonymous usage statistics and crash reports only. No personal identifiers are sent. → Firebase Privacy Notice
Koin (io.insert-koin:koin-android) — Lightweight dependency injection framework used internally to manage code architecture. No data collection.
DataStore (androidx.datastore:datastore) — Modern, safe way to store small amounts of App preferences and settings locally on device. No network transmission.
Glide (com.github.bumptech.glide:glide) — Fast and efficient image loading library for displaying photos, thumbnails, and filtered previews inside the App.
Lottie (com.airbnb.android:lottie) — Renders beautiful, vector-based animations for loading screens, UI feedback, and transitions.
CameraX (androidx.camera:camera-core & related modules) — Official Android Jetpack library that provides a reliable, consistent camera API across all Android devices for preview and capture.
Google Play Services Location (com.google.android.gms:play-services-location) — Used solely for optional EXIF location embedding at capture time. → Google Privacy Policy
ExoPlayer (com.google.android.exoplayer:exoplayer) — Powerful, flexible media player used to preview and play recorded videos smoothly inside the App.
Vosk (com.alphacephei:vosk-android) — Offline speech recognition library that enables voice capture / voice command features in supported modes. Processing is 100% local.
None of these libraries (except Firebase Analytics) send any data off-device for our usage.
7. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies
Yes – the App displays advertisements to support free usage. Ads are served by the following networks: Google AdMob, AdX (Google), Facebook Audience Network (Meta), InMobi, Vungle (Liftoff), and AppLovin.
These ad providers may collect device advertising identifiers, approximate location (derived from IP), device type, App usage patterns for ad personalization, frequency capping, and fraud detection. We do not receive or control the data they collect.
Analytics are limited to anonymous Firebase Analytics events.
Relevant privacy policies:
Google AdMob / AdX → Google Privacy Policy
Meta Audience Network → Meta Privacy Policy
InMobi → InMobi Privacy Policy
Vungle / Liftoff → Liftoff Privacy Policy
AppLovin → AppLovin Privacy Policy
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
As this is a mobile application, we do not use web cookies. Third-party advertising SDKs may use mobile advertising identifiers and similar device-level technologies for their own purposes.
9. Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data
We do not collect or process any personal data ourselves. Any device information collected by advertising partners is governed by the policies linked in section 7.
For Google Play Data Safety form purposes: we declare no collection of personal data by the developer; limited device identifiers may be collected by ad partners for advertising and analytics purposes.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Photos, videos, and settings remain on your device until you manually delete them. Anonymous Firebase analytics data is retained according to Google’s retention policies. Uninstalling the App removes all local App-related data from your device.
11. Payment Terms and In-App Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions to unlock premium features.
All transactions are securely processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. We never collect, store, or have access to your credit card details, billing address, or Google account password.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel them at least 24 hours before the next billing date. You can manage, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time directly in your Google Play Store account settings. After cancellation, you retain premium access until the end of the current paid period.
Purchase Information — Google may share limited non-personal information with us (such as subscription status and expiry date) so we can correctly enable/disable premium features.
Refunds & Cancellations — All refund requests are handled by Google Play according to their refund policies.
Third-Party Sharing — We do not share purchase or subscription details with any other companies except as required for Google Play payment processing.
All payments follow the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
