CAMEL Privacy Policy

CAMEL (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a fallback navigation tool designed for situations where GPS may be unreliable. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may use, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
CAMEL may process the following information in order to provide its features:
Search queries you enter for places, addresses, or destinations
Route requests between selected origin and destination points
Approximate region or country information (derived from IP-based geolocation using a third-party service such as ipapi.co) may be used at app start to open the map in a relevant area without relying on GPS. This does not provide precise location data
Saved places or favorites you choose to store in the app
Basic technical information required for app functionality, stability, and troubleshooting
The app uses information only as needed to provide core functionality, including:
searching for locations
building routes
displaying maps
showing navigation guidance
storing your favorites/settings locally
improving reliability and fixing issues
CAMEL is a fallback navigation tool. It may use route-based logic and approximate regional information to support navigation when precise live GPS is limited or unavailable.
Favorites, saved places, and certain app preferences may be stored locally on your device. If CAMEL does not offer account sync, this data remains tied to your device unless you remove it or uninstall the app.
CAMEL may rely on third-party services to provide maps, route calculation, geocoding, and related functionality. These providers may process requests required to deliver those services.
Examples may include:
map rendering
search/geocoding
route generation
crash or performance monitoring, if enabled
We do not sell your personal data. Information is only shared as needed to operate the app and its supporting services.
Information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the app’s functionality, comply with legal obligations, or maintain app reliability. Locally stored data can often be removed by clearing app data, removing saved places, or uninstalling the app.
You may choose not to save favorites or certain preferences. You may also contact us with questions about your data or requests related to deletion, where applicable.
CAMEL is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
