Sounds Green @  Botanic Garden

The Garden opens its gates late on Wednesday evenings throughout July to host a season of open-air music from Cambridge Summer Music.

Anglesey Abbey

• Summer of Play at Anglesey Abbey runs from   📅 19 July to 31 August, offering daily seaside-themed fun across five creative play zones—sand pits, sports, crafts, and nature activities for all ages. Enjoy giant games, puppet shows, bubble fun, workshops, archery, and crazy golf (some with an extra fee). No booking needed; normal admission applies. Open daily from 9:30am–5:30pm (last entry 4:30pm).

Denny Abbey & the Farmland Museum

Themed craft activities every Thursday and Friday of the summer holiday, celebrating all things Fenland and farming related

🚂All on board! 

• Audley End Miniature Railway’s Summer Festival runs from 19 July – 31 August and promises a magical, family-friendly adventure through enchanted woods and fairy-filled fun. Details TBC, 

• Cambridge & District M.E.S Miniature railway, Fulbrooke Road, (subject to weather). The gates to the site are open from 12.30pm and trains run from 1.30pm until 5.30pm. Each train ride requires a ticket although under-3s are free. Under-5s require an adult to accompany them. £2.50 per Ticket. 8 June, 13 Jul, 27 Jul, 10 August, 14 September

🔬 Little Scientists 

• Whipple Saturday Openings  - Explore the history of science through the collection of microscopes, telescopes, and globes. Take part in family trails and visit our Learning Gallery, where you can engage with interactive handling boxes to discover topics such as Light & Sound, the Human Body, and Earth & Space.  📅 17 May, 21 June, 19 July, 16 August, 20 September, 18 October, 15 November. These all run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and are free, happening every third Saturday of the month.
