CAMBRIDGE MACRO & DEVELOPMENT PHD CONFERENCE

ABOUT

We invite advanced PhD students in macroeconomics and development to join us for the inaugural Cambridge Macro & Development PhD Conference on October 30, 2026 in Cambridge, UK. The conference offers an opportunity to:

• Present and receive feedback on research projects from peers.

• Establish an ongoing network creating lasting connections that support research collaboration and career development. Preference will be given to final year PhD students going on the 2026/27 job market.

There are no registration fees and a light lunch will be provided. There is no travel funding available. 

The conference will be held at the Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Ave, Cambridge CB3 9DD, UK.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

We invite submissions on any topic in macroeconomics or development economics by the submission deadline on 07 September 2026 using the submission form HERE. 

Key dates are:

• Conference: 30 October 2026

• Submission deadline: 07 September 2026, 11.59pm UK time

• Decisions: by 21 September 2026
