Our Work
Some of Cambridge’s leading progressive organizations have come together to form the Cambridge Progressive Electoral Collaboration (CPEC). This election season, CPEC will work to elevate the progressive issues that matter most to Cambridge voters, share where candidates stand on those issues, and encourage strong turnout among progressive voters. While each Member organization will continue to operate independently and make its own decisions, they are united in a shared commitment: to pool resources and organize for progressive leadership and policies in Cambridge.
CPEC has invited all City Council and School Committee candidates running in November to complete a collaboratively developed questionnaire, created through a democratic process involving all member organizations. Candidate responses will be published here and shared widely with the public. All candidates who complete the questionnaire will be invited to participate in CPEC’s candidate forums.
CPEC itself will not endorse candidates in these elections. However, two member organizations—Cambridge Residents Alliance and Our Revolution Cambridge—will use the questionnaire as part of their individual endorsement processes. The remaining groups will use it to inform and empower voters, and to help drive a more engaged, progressive turnout at the polls.
