Further Stages – Skills Term (Historemix) 🎭🔥

This term, our Further Stages students will dive into Historemix — a dynamic, contemporary approach to performance, blending historical inspiration with a modern twist. Using iconic moments, figures and eras as a starting point, students will reinterpret them through fresh, creative storytelling and performance.

The focus is on advanced skills development across drama, dance and singing. In drama, students will explore deeper character work, text interpretation, and devising techniques, learning how to adapt historical ideas into bold, original performances. Singing sessions will develop vocal strength, control, stylistic versatility and emotional connection. Dance will challenge students with more complex choreography, precision, stamina and performance quality.

There will be a strong emphasis on creativity, individuality and ensemble work, encouraging students to take ownership of their ideas while working collaboratively to shape engaging, modern pieces.

A high-energy, thought-provoking term designed to stretch and inspire, pushing students to refine their technique while exploring performance in a fresh and exciting way.
