WEST COAST SWING

West Coast Swing (WCS) at Caltech has been going strong since the early 1980s. We host lessons of all levels, socials, parties and outings to dance venues and conventions around the SoCal area. Although we are a collegiate club, Caltech WCS is a mixture of Caltech students and community members with a shared passion for WCS. If you love WCS or want to learn how to dance WCS feel free to contact us.

Our classes for Winter 2020 are Wednesdays at 7:30 PM at the South Catalina Rec Room, followed by social dancing at 8:30 starting January 15, 2020! All are welcome!

WHY DANCE WEST COAST SWING?

West coast swing is a dance that is danced to jazz, blues, contemporary and pop music. WCS has a strong focus on improvisation, connection, musicality, and social dancing. WCS can be as technical or musical as the you desire as well as is danced to the music that you enjoy! In other words, WCS is just pure fun with an amazing community of dancers.
