This valuable experience provided our leaders with insights into real-world engineering challenges and solutions within the automotive and motorsports industries.
During the workshop, our team:
- Gained perspective on "engineering between the lines" - the critical thinking that happens beyond textbook knowledge
- Heard firsthand accounts of real industry experiences from professionals
- Connected with representatives from leading companies in the automotive sector
- Explored the impressive Lions Automobilia Foundation & Museum
- Learned about innovative engineering design solutions for complex problems
- Developed understanding of project management techniques in risk management, including failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
These experiences will directly benefit our team's approach to upcoming projects and strengthen our engineering practices. A special thank you all of the panelists, Justin Jang, Emily Anthony, Roger Horn, P.E., Miguel Alvarez, and Kelvin Fu, to Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) and Toyota Racing Development USA for their networking opportunity, and to Dean Case and Justin Jang for their invitation to this event.
