GETTING STARTED
1. Open Call Notes.
2. Allow Full Access to Contacts when requested.
3. Tap Add and select an existing contact, or create a new one.
4. Write a short note for the selected phone number.
5. Save the note.
6. Continue making and receiving calls through your normal iPhone Phone app.
Your call note can contain up to 35 characters so that it fits within the iPhone calling interface.
WHY DOES CALL NOTES NEED CONTACTS ACCESS?
Call Notes uses Contacts access to:
• Let you select an existing contact
• Create a new contact
• Attach a note to a selected phone number
• Display that note using the phone-number label shown by iOS
• Restore the original label when call notes are turned off
Your contact names, phone numbers, photos, and call-note text are not uploaded by Call Notes.
MY NOTE ISN’T APPEARING ON CALLS
Please check the following:
1. Open Call Notes and make sure “Notes on calls” is turned on.
2. Open the contact inside Call Notes and make sure “Show on calls” is enabled.
3. Confirm that Call Notes has Full Contacts Access in iPhone Settings.
4. Confirm that the incoming or outgoing number matches the phone number selected in Call Notes.
5. Check whether the contact has a Contact Poster.
A Contact Poster can cover the phone-number label where the note normally appears. Call Notes provides a shortcut to open the contact so you can remove the poster if needed.
Call Notes never changes or removes Contact Posters automatically.
TURNING OFF NOTES ON CALLS
Open Call Notes and turn off “Notes on calls,” or open:
Call Notes → Settings → Show Notes on Calls
Turning this off:
• Keeps your notes saved inside Call Notes
• Restores the original phone-number labels
• Restores any circular contact photos previously managed with your permission
You can turn the feature on again whenever you want.
CONTACT PHOTOS
Some circular contact photos can prevent a phone-number label from appearing correctly.
Call Notes will always ask for permission before temporarily managing one of these photos. A protected backup is stored locally on your iPhone so the photo can be restored.
Contact Posters are handled separately and are never changed by Call Notes.
BEFORE DELETING CALL NOTES
Before uninstalling the app:
1. Open Call Notes.
2. Turn off “Notes on calls.”
3. Wait for the original contact labels and approved photos to be restored.
Deleting the app also deletes its local photo backups. Call Notes cannot restore a managed photo after the app and its backup have been removed.
PURCHASES AND PREMIUM
Call Notes may offer Monthly and Lifetime Premium options.
Monthly Premium
Monthly Premium renews automatically until canceled through your Apple Account.
Lifetime Premium
Lifetime Premium is a single, non-recurring purchase. It does not create a subscription.
Both options unlock the Premium features described on the purchase screen.
RESTORING A PURCHASE
If Premium is missing after reinstalling the app or changing devices:
1. Confirm that you are signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
2. Open Call Notes.
3. Open Settings.
4. Tap “Restore Purchases.”
If Premium is still unavailable, email support@skipsims.com and include your Support ID from Settings. Your Support ID helps us locate your purchase entitlement. It does not contain your contacts or notes.
CANCELING MONTHLY PREMIUM
Subscriptions are managed by Apple.
On your iPhone:
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Select Call Notes.
5. Tap Cancel Subscription.
You will normally retain Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
