It's very simple, back in 2010, I was helping my Grandmother with a few simple repairs that she needed. I'm not even sure you can classify them as "repairs". She needed us to change some light bulbs that she could not reach from her step stool, set the clock on the microwave and help getting some boxes down from the closet. My Dad told her we would stop by during the week and take care of everything for her. On the way home, I asked my Dad "what do people do who don't have anyone close by to help?" He thought about it and said "I guess they have to pay someone to do it...or they just never get it done". It was then that I (with help from my Dad!) started callmyson.org.
We know that changing the refrigerator light bulb, or programming your remote control for the TV is not going to change the world, but it would be nice if these things could get done, right? And how great would it be if you didn't have to pay for the service?
Our volunteers have helped countless people in Harford, Baltimore and Cecil Counties get the "little things" done that are too difficult to do alone, yet not big enough to call a professional service. We have changed many light bulbs, carried many boxes from attics and basements and replaced many smoke detector batteries. All of the little things you would call your family to help if they were local, you can now call us!
All of the Volunteers at CallmySon.org are father/son teams. This means that you will always have an adult and a young volunteer working together to help you. This will help us learn some important career and life building skills that we can use in the future and, it's the right thing to do to help those who need it. I would hope someone would help my parents if I were unavailable!
Thanks!

And now my little brothers! Will and Jack Andrus ... and the ever-growing callmyson.org Team!
We can provide the same types of services and small jobs, at no cost, that you would normally "call your son" to do instead of a professional. Some examples are:
