CallKeeper is designed to help users manage and save information associated with phone calls and contacts on their Android device.
Information accessed by the app
Depending on the features used and permissions granted, CallKeeper may access information such as phone numbers associated with calls, contact names and contact information, call-related information required for the app’s call-screening and post-call functionality, and notes or categories entered by the user.
CallKeeper may also use Android system permissions necessary to provide its core functionality, such as access to contacts, phone/call-related features, notifications, and the Android Call Screening role.
How information is used
This information is used only to provide CallKeeper’s features, including identifying or processing phone numbers, saving contacts, displaying recent call activity, storing user-entered notes or categories, and providing call-screening and related functionality.
Data storage
CallKeeper stores its application data locally on the user’s device. This may include saved call information, phone numbers, contact-related information, user preferences, notes, categories, and application statistics.
CallKeeper does not transmit this information to a CallKeeper-operated server or cloud service.
Data sharing
CallKeeper does not sell personal information and does not share users’ contact, phone number, or call-related data with the developer or third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Some features may open third-party applications chosen by the user, such as WhatsApp or the device’s SMS application. When the user chooses such a feature, information such as the selected phone number may be passed to that external application so that it can perform the requested action. The privacy practices of those external applications are governed by their own privacy policies.
Analytics and tracking
CallKeeper currently does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services that collect user data.
Permissions
CallKeeper requests only permissions needed to provide its features. Users may deny or revoke permissions through Android system settings, although some features may not function without the required permissions.
Data deletion
Because CallKeeper’s application data is stored locally on the device, users can remove application data through Android settings or by uninstalling the application. Users may also delete applicable records through features provided by the app where available.
Children
CallKeeper is not specifically designed for children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if CallKeeper’s features or data-handling practices change. The latest version will be made available at this page.
