Turn Your Handwriting into a Font!
Love calligraphy + digital design? Make your own font and even sell it online!
How to Do It:
Step 1: Write the Alphabet
Use black ink and white paper to write each letter clearly (A-Z, a-z, numbers, and symbols). Keep the spacing even.
Step 2: Scan or Take a Clear Photo
Use a scanner or a good phone camera. Make sure the letters are clear and not blurry.
Step 3: Use a Font-Making Tool
Some easy tools are:
- Calligraphr (free and beginner-friendly)
- iFontMaker (for iPad)
- Fontself (works with Adobe Illustrator)
Step 4: Adjust and Export
These tools let you adjust the size, spacing, and shape. Once you’re ready, export your font as a .ttf or .otf file.
Step 5: Use or Sell Your Font
Use your font in Canva, Procreate, or any design software. You can even sell it on platforms like Creative Market or Etsy.
This is a great way to grow as a digital creator and make money from your skills.
