How time flies when you're having fun!

My term as the president of the Rocky Mountain Region is about complete and it has been a great experience!  I have been able to meet and share experiences with so many of you.  I have had the opportunity to visit most of the divisions via in person or Zoom, and I have had the opportunity to present some awards and really, just enjoy the last 4 years associating with you guys.

As a Region, we have been able to reactivate the Colorado North division with the expertise and smile of Greeley's own Michelle Kempema.  As a Region, we were able to reassign Evanston, Wyoming into the Northern Utah Division, to help give Railroad Days in Evanston divisional support.

The Achievment Program has amazed me!  4 years ago it was something I did not think much about, the contest and my participation, but that has totally  changed direction.  Building a project is fun, but it's the details and weathering that really makes it fun for me.  Whether at a contest or getting the model evaluated, it's seeing how others see what you did (or didn't do) that makes me want to do better.  Throughout the Region, it seems a few of you are enjoying AP more.  Before I go any further, congrats are in order for Paul Brennecke, Mike May, Martin Pirnat, and Kevin Anderson who have all received their Master Model Railroader Award, and it was my honor to be able to present them.  I know there are a few more really close to completing theirs.

We have had National officers visit our region and all, without exception, had an enjoyable and successful experience here.  And, on my visits during the last 4 years, with the exception of the pandemic restrictions, I was able to visit with Region Prez and divisions throughout the nation.

Now, as my term comes to an end, we are preparing for another Region Convention here in Salt Lake City.  I know of some really great layout tours,  op sessions,  some pretty good clinics, and then a ride on the Heber Valley Railroad.

Thank you for the opportunity to represent our Region.  And as a very good friend says,  " bye for now".
