FRONT RANGE DIVISIONÂ
The summer months started off in July with a clinic by Bob Magnani on bullet proof wiring of a layout he is building. He used his engineering training to wire the layout so his grand children as well as he could operate it. He had many neat ideas and approaches as well as inexpensive sources of materials. In August we held the annual division picnic at the Colorado RR Museum. About 20 people attended. This year we invited the South Suburban and Sunrise Divisions. A lot of good food was consumed, along with a lots of interesting railroad talk. In September, Kris Blackmarr continued his "hands on clinics" of weathering wood structures with colored pencils, solvents, and stains. This clinic was centered on Fading/Chipped Paint Weathering. We all were diligently working away with our "Optivisors" on.
The Division was getting too big for the Board Room of the Bob Richardson library of the CRRM. Fortunately, the Museum rearranged one of their display rooms in the Delay Junction building into an auditorium and we were able to move in there. (Thank you CRRM!)
The Front Range Division meets at the Library of the Colorado Railroad Museum at 7:00 pm every third Monday to the month. Exceptions are in August when we have our picnic and December when we have our Christmas party.

In our meetings we have a show and tell section. Here Bob Crowe explains how he upgraded three Athearn diesels into prototype specific units. Chad Horner looks on.
The Front Range Division picnic was held at the Colorado RR Museum. Here the gang digs in.
Kris Blackmarr leans on the CTC machine while leading a hands on clinic. The clinic was on fading and chipping of paint on wooden structures. The Division is now meeting in the conference room of the main CRRM building.
