Fellow Rocky Mountain Region Members,

Spring has finally sprung! As with the renewing of nature, our hobby seems to be taking in a big breath and is getting ready for a resurgence of growth. It seems more people are renewing their interest in model trains in all scales. Dad's and granddads are visiting train shops more and bringing their families with them "just to look and browse ". Train shows are starting to open again with the Sherman Hill Show starting it off in Cheyenne mid-May. Of course the Coronavirus is still with us, but people are being vaccinated yet still taking precautions. Life is starting to move towards "normal", whatever normal will be.

As we move thru Spring and into Summer, let us all enjoy our hobby. Let's enjoy our families, nature and make it a year to remember. As a family, my wife and I are planning visits to friends we haven't seen for a while. This is supposed to be a no-railroad related vacation, but if we just happen to be in Hickory, ND the first week in September, a visit to the National Narrow Gauge Convention would be allowed, she said. I mentioned going to visit friends in West Virginia - she okayed a visit to Cass.

Anyway you do it, please have a safe and wonderful Summer. Keep model railroading growing after all it is the world's greatest hobby. Until next time,

Lowell
