As the New Year has finally made it, a thought or two for 2020. First, GOODBYE 2020! It was a challenge, to say the least, but we now move forward into 2021. We were able to work on model railroad related projects, we had opportunities to get home projects done - you know, the honey do’s. If you wanted to, you could get involved with helping neighbors and friends. There were plenty of opportunities to be useful.
Now we have a new year to work in. Hopefully we can get 2020 behind us and move forward. Our hobby is just that - a hobby. It helps calm the storms of life and gives enjoyment, challenges and achievements to help with life. As this blog is being written, there are no train shows on the near horizon. The big shows in Ogden and Denver have been shelved for this year. BUT THERE IS HOPE. The May show in Cheyenne is still on. The National Convention and National Narrow Gauge Convention, still on. Numerous shows will be springing to life starting in the spring, as well as being a little more free to move around without social distancing (hopefully).
I am eager to see how the vaccines will be effective, praying that they will be. As we all wait and see, let's continue to enjoy our friends and families. Let us enjoy the beauty of nature. And let us continue growing our hobby and building layouts into mini empires. Let us continue to continue.
