Since the 1965 founding of Cal in the Capital, over 4,000 Cal students have traveled to Washington, D.C. for the transformative experience of a summer internship, serving in 400+ Congressional offices, federal agencies and non-profits.
This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Cal in the Capital program.
Now, more than ever, students need the opportunity to be engaged in many aspects of government and other organizations in D.C.
To ensure that this impactful program continues, the CITC Alumni Working Group (a committee of past CITC Chairs/Directors and D.C. Alumni) is contacting you to:
· build a CITC Alumni data base;
· plan the 60th Anniversary Event celebrating CITC in Berkeley, on October 16th, 2025, and at a later date in Washington, D.C.; and
· explore establishing an official CITC Alumni Club.
Please join us!
Provide your contact and other information in the questionnaire at the link, below, and forward the questionnaire to any other CITC Alumni you know. This information is being collected by the CITC Alumni Working Group, and you can contact any of us at calinthecapitalalumni@gmail.com.
Ten years ago, the 50th Anniversary celebration in Berkeley featured the dynamic Dr. Robert Reich, an enthusiastic advocate for CITC. We’re planning another fabulous event, our 60th Anniversary Celebration, on October 16th, 2025, and we hope to see you there. Go Bears!
