Effective Date: June 12, 2025
Thank you for using California Vehicle Code - AI Assistant ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding information when you use our App.
Your privacy is important to us. Our core principle is to collect no personal data directly from you through the App. The App is designed as a tool to help you understand California Vehicle Codes using AI features and does not require you to provide personal information to use its primary functionality. Please note that this App is an informational tool and not an official provider of California Vehicle Codes.
We, the developers of California Vehicle Code - AI Assistant, do not collect, store, or share any personal data or usage data from you directly.
We do not require user accounts.
We do not track your activity within the App for our own analytics.
Search terms or information entered into the AI tools are processed to provide you with results but are not collected or stored by us.
To enhance your experience, the App offers optional in-app subscriptions for premium features.
Data Collection for Subscriptions: We do not collect or store any personal information directly for subscription purposes. Payment processing and subscription management are handled by Apple’s App Store, which operates under its own privacy policy. We do not have access to your payment details or other personal information related to your subscription.
Usage of Subscription Data: Any data collected by Apple for subscription purposes (e.g., Apple ID, payment information) is subject to Apple’s privacy policies and is not shared with us.
To support the development and maintenance of the App, we display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks.
Data Collected by Ad Networks: These third-party ad networks may collect certain information automatically to serve relevant ads. This information may include:
Device identifiers (such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers - IDFA, if you permit tracking)
IP address
Information about your interactions with ads shown in the App
General device information (e.g., device model, operating system version)
How Ad Networks Use Data: This data is collected and used by the ad networks according to their own privacy policies to deliver personalized or non-personalized advertising, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud.
We Do Not Access This Data: We do not have access to the specific data collected by the ad networks for advertising purposes, nor do we store it. We only integrate their services to display ads.
You have control over the use of your device's advertising identifier and subscriptions:
Limit Ad Tracking / Tracking Permission: You can manage tracking permissions on your iOS device by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Here you can disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track" globally or manage permissions on a per-app basis for apps that request tracking.
Apple Advertising Settings: You can manage personalized ads from Apple's advertising platform in Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
In-App Subscriptions: You can manage your subscriptions directly through your Apple ID in Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions. Review Apple’s privacy policy for details on how subscription data is handled.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the ad networks used within the App for more detailed information on their data practices.
While we do not collect your personal data directly, we rely on the security measures provided by the iOS platform. Data handled by Apple for subscriptions or by third-party ad networks is subject to their respective security practices.
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age threshold in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As we do not collect personal data directly, this applies primarily to the data potentially collected by third-party ad networks or Apple’s subscription services. If you believe an ad network or Apple may have inadvertently collected information from a child, please refer to their respective privacy policies and reporting mechanisms.
Other than Apple’s App Store for in-app subscriptions and the third-party advertising networks mentioned above, the App does not integrate other third-party services that collect your data. Our responsibility is limited to the functioning of the App itself and does not extend to the practices of Apple or the third-party ad networks.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time, for instance, if we change ad providers, subscription features, or if required by law. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our App Store listing and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
