The Sustainability Interest Group at CalEPA is mostly CalEPA staff meeting via online Teams every other Tuesday to discuss sustainable practices such as home gardening,1 composting,2 and eco tips. We will email the group (from CalRecycle@public.govdelivery.com) an updated recurring meeting invitation/newsletter by the end of the prior week.
If all politics are local, then sustainability is ultimately up to you.

1 Every pound of homegrown vegetables you grow can cut 2 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions when compared to the store-bought counterpart, although what you eat matters more (e.g., fruits, nuts, and vegetables) than how it’s transported.
