The California ADV Rally & Campout is a grassroot gathering created for adventure riders who share a passion for exploring California's backroads, dirt roads, mountain passes, scenic highways, historic landmarks, and the small towns that make every ride memorable.
This isn't a race, and it isn't a competition. While the rally begins with an official riders' meeting, there are no timed stages, mandatory routes, or prizes for finishing first. Whether you ride pavement, dirt, or a combination of both, you're free to build your own adventure and experience California at your own pace.

The California ADV Rally & Campout was created with a long-term vision: to become an annual California tradition that showcases a different region of the state each year. Every edition is designed to introduce riders to new landscapes, hidden roads, local businesses, and the communities that make California one of the world's greatest places to explore on two wheels.
At its heart, this rally is about more than motorcycles. It's about slowing down, discovering places you may have otherwise ridden past, sharing stories around the campfire, and building friendships that last long after the weekend ends.
Because the best adventures aren't measured by who arrives first.
They're measured by the memories you make along the way.

This is a Discovery Rally.
Riders choose their own pace and routes while visiting recommended destinations throughout Southern California.
Adventure riding include:
Scenic pavement
Forest & Gravel roads
Easy dirt to Moderate dirt
Historic routes
Small mountain towns
Scenic overlooks
Local food
Camping
Ride solo or with friends.

Every rider is responsible for their own adventure.
Navigate using your own GPS or navigation device.
Plan your own fuel stops.
Choose where and when to eat.
Be responsible for your motorcycle's condition and maintenance.
Ride within your skill level and comfort zone.
Select the routes and checkpoints that fit your abilities.
There are no sweep riders. If you choose to ride solo, understand the risks and prepare accordingly.
There is no pressure to complete every route or checkpoint.
There is no competition. This is a discovery rally, not a race.
The goal isn't to see who can ride the farthest or fastest. It's to explore California, return safely, and share the stories around camp.

Route System
Routes will be released approximately 19 days before the event to registered riders.
This helps keep the adventure fresh while allowing riders time to prepare.
Camp Reservations
Tent camping is handled through the event registration.
Riders wanting full hookup RV sites should reserve directly with the campground, as those spots are limited.

The mission is to encourage riders to discover more of California, support the towns they ride through, create lasting friendships, and return home with new stories and unforgettable memories.
