If you want dependable, wired over-ear headphones for gym sessions where you can control volume on each earcup, choose Califone 3068AV; if you need a wireless mask-style audio option for stretching, cooldowns, or relaxation after the gym, choose MUSICOZY 3D. For active workouts, I’d choose the Califone: its straightforward headphone design is a more practical fit than a sleep mask.
• Califone 3068AV strength: Cushioned over-ear headphones with separate volume controls on each earcup and a switch between stereo and mono. Trade-off: It connects by cable, so it is not a wireless workout option.
• MUSICOZY 3D strength: Combines Bluetooth audio and a light-blocking sleep mask, with a stated 14-hour battery life. Trade-off: Its mask format is intended for sleep and relaxation, not vigorous exercise.
• For the gym: Califone is the more sensible choice for someone who wants conventional wired headphones.
• For quiet recovery time: MUSICOZY makes more sense for someone who wants audio while resting, traveling, or blocking light.
• Choose Califone for a direct, simple listening setup; choose MUSICOZY for a wearable mask with wireless audio.
The Califone 3068AV is a wired, over-ear headphone with a 3.5 mm plug. It has cushioned earcups and a cushioned, adjustable headband, so its design is familiar and easy to understand: put on the headphones, connect the cable, and use the controls on the earcups. Separate volume controls on each side give you a way to adjust listening without relying solely on the connected device.
A useful extra is the switch between stereo and mono. That makes the 3068AV more adaptable than a headphone that offers only one listening mode. Its listed 40 mm dynamic drivers and 20 Hz–20,000 Hz frequency range describe the audio hardware, while the noise-control description is sound isolation. The ABS plastic construction is intended to provide a durable shell, though the product sheet does not establish how it will hold up under any particular workout conditions.
For gym use, the Califone’s biggest advantage is its conventional headphone format; the main compromise is the cable. A 3.5 mm connection is straightforward for compatible devices, and an included 1/4-inch adapter adds another connection option. But anyone who wants untethered movement should look elsewhere. I’d consider it for a gym setup where the cable is manageable, or for home listening and learning—not as a dedicated wireless sports headset.

MUSICOZY 3D: Who It's For
The MUSICOZY 3D is not a regular pair of workout headphones. It combines a Bluetooth audio system with an eye mask made from soft velvet and stretch cotton, with breathable fabric and soft memory foam listed in its product details. Its central purpose is listening while resting: the mask is designed to block light, and its adjustable Velcro strap is intended to help fit different heads. The product also describes a 3D eye space and cushioning around the nose.
Bluetooth 5.4 gives it a wireless connection, and the stated battery life is 14 hours. That can suit a long stretch of travel, rest, or sleep without needing a wired connection. The mask has push-button controls, a microphone, and two speakers according to the product description. Its removable components are described as washable, which is a practical consideration for an item worn against the face. A charging cable and portable carry bag are included.
That design is also the key limitation for the gym. A fabric eye mask is a poor match for running, cycling, or any session where you need clear vision and a stable, conventional headphone fit. It may work for floor stretching or quiet cooldown time, but the sheet does not describe sweat resistance, a sport fit, or fast charging. The Type-C connection is listed for charging, but no fast-charge time is given. So it would be misleading to call this a fast charging sports earbuds for gym option.
Skip it if: You want ordinary earbuds or a workout headset that leaves your eyes uncovered.
• Best fit for conventional gym listening → Califone 3068AV. It has an over-ear headphone design rather than a mask covering the eyes.
• Best for wireless listening → MUSICOZY 3D. It uses Bluetooth 5.4 and has a stated 14-hour battery life; Califone uses a wired 3.5 mm plug.
• Best for adjusting volume on the headphones → Califone 3068AV. It has controls on each earcup.
• Best for sleep and light blocking → MUSICOZY 3D. Its mask is designed to cover the eyes and has an adjustable strap.
• Best for switching stereo and mono → Califone 3068AV. That mode switch is a specific feature the MUSICOZY sheet does not list.
• Best for listening while lying down or traveling → MUSICOZY 3D. The sleep-mask format is designed around relaxation, naps, and travel.
• Best for someone who wants a cable-free gym setup → Neither is an ideal match. MUSICOZY is wireless, but its eye-mask design is not suited to active workouts; Califone is wired.
• Best for a gaming headset for gym → Neither is described as a gaming headset. Califone has a 3.5 mm connection, while MUSICOZY has Bluetooth and a microphone, but neither sheet specifies gaming features or workout performance.
If your phrase is “wireless earbuds for gym,” it is worth being precise about what these products are. Califone is wired over-ear headphones, not earbuds. MUSICOZY connects wirelessly, but it is a sleep mask with speakers, not a standard set of sports earbuds. The better match depends on whether you prioritize a conventional headphone shape or wireless listening during rest.
Start with movement. If your gym routine includes running, fast changes of direction, or exercises where a clear field of vision matters, the MUSICOZY mask is a poor design fit. It covers the eyes by design. Califone leaves your vision unobstructed, but its cable creates a different constraint: it connects to the audio source and is not described as a sports-specific cable.
Next, check your device connection. Califone requires a 3.5 mm headphone connection; the included 1/4-inch adapter is useful only if your equipment has that type of output. MUSICOZY uses Bluetooth 5.4 for audio and lists Type-C for charging. These are different setups, so choose based on the compatible connection you actually need rather than assuming either will work with every device.
Consider where you want the headphones to do their job. Califone’s cushioned headband, earcups, volume controls, and mono/stereo switch suit straightforward listening at home, in a classroom, or in a gym where wired headphones are acceptable. MUSICOZY’s blackout mask and adjustable fit are aimed at rest, travel, and sleep. Its 14-hour battery life is relevant for extended wireless listening, but it does not make the mask a workout-oriented product.
Finally, be cautious about the features the sheets do not specify. Neither product lists sweat resistance or a dedicated athletic fit. The MUSICOZY sheet does not state a charging time, so Type-C alone is not evidence of fast charging. And while it describes removable components as washable, follow the product’s care instructions before cleaning. These gaps matter if your main goal is durable, sweat-ready audio for regular exercise.
I would choose the Califone 3068AV for the gym because its conventional over-ear design keeps the eyes uncovered, and its earcup controls and stereo/mono switch are useful, clearly stated features. I would accept the cable only if it works with my gym setup. The MUSICOZY 3D is the more appealing pick for wireless rest, sleep, or travel, but its eye-mask format makes it the wrong tool for active training. For gym listening, I’d rather have the simpler wired headphone than a sleep mask.
FAQ
It is better suited to sleep, relaxation, travel, and light-blocking than to active exercise. It is a Bluetooth eye mask, and the product details do not specify a sports fit or sweat resistance.
The MUSICOZY 3D lists 14 hours of battery life. Califone is wired, so it does not rely on a built-in battery for playback.
For these two designs, I’d pick the Califone for ordinary gym listening because it leaves your eyes uncovered and has a conventional over-ear fit. Choose MUSICOZY if you want wireless audio for cooldowns or rest, not a mask to wear through an active workout.
