CalHabit — calendar habit tracker
CalHabit ("the App") is a habit tracker designed to keep what you record private and on your own device. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how information is handled.

CalHabit has no account and no sign-in. You are never asked for a name, email address or phone number in order to use it.
Everything you create is stored locally on your device. The App does send anonymous crash and usage data, described below, but it never sends the content of what you write.
We do not:
Require user accounts
Use cloud storage, or sync between devices
Collect your name, email address, phone number or location
Show advertising, or use advertising identifiers
Sell or share data with data brokers
The App stores the following only on your device:
Habits, including their names, colours and schedules
The days you mark, and the progress recorded against them
Settings, including reminder times, language and appearance
If you add a CalHabit home-screen widget, this data is also written to a private storage area shared with the widget so that it can draw your grid — still on the device. Deleting the App permanently removes all of it.
CalHabit can export your data to a file.
The file is written wherever you choose, using your device's own file picker
We never see it, and the App does not upload it anywhere
Importing works the same way in reverse: you pick a file, and the App reads it on the device
Once a backup leaves the App, it is covered by whatever service you saved it to, not by this policy.
Reminders are generated on-device only
No reminder text is sent to external servers
Notification permissions are used only for reminders
The App reads your device's time zone so that reminders fire at the right local time
Unlike the rest of the App, this part does leave your device. CalHabit uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics, both provided by Google.
Crashlytics records a diagnostic report when the App crashes or hits an error: the error, where in the code it happened, and basic device information such as model and operating-system version
Analytics records a small, fixed set of product events. The complete list is: onboarding started, finished and skipped; habit created, deleted, archived and restored; day marked; paywall shown; offer shown; purchase completed; backup exported and imported; reminder scheduled
These are counts of actions, never their contents. The App does not send habit names, notes, or the dates you marked. Two coarse properties are attached so that the numbers can be grouped: how many habits you keep, as a bucket (0, 1–2, 3–5, 6–10, 11+) rather than an exact count, and whether you have CalHabit+.
Firebase assigns a random installation identifier so that events from the same install can be counted together. It is not linked to your name or email address, and reinstalling the App resets it.
Analytics and crash reporting are on in the released App, and there is currently no in-app switch to turn them off. Uninstalling the App stops all collection.
CalHabit offers optional In-App Purchases to unlock premium features (CalHabit+).
Payments are processed securely by Apple App Store or Google Play
CalHabit does not collect or store payment or billing information
We do not have access to your financial details
CalHabit uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics) — crash reports and the anonymous usage events listed above
RevenueCat — manages subscriptions. It receives the purchase receipt and basic device information in order to tell the App whether your subscription is active, and identifies your installation with a randomly generated anonymous ID. You are not asked to sign in, and no name or email address is attached to it
Both are operated by companies based in the United States, so the anonymous data described above may be processed there.
Your habit data remains under your control on your device.
Uninstalling the App permanently removes all data it has stored.
CalHabit does not knowingly collect personal information and is suitable for users of all ages.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page, and the date at the top will change with them.
