This Privacy Policy describes how Calfit ("Calfit," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
By downloading, installing, or using Calfit, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App.
Account Information: Email address and name when you create an account or sign in with Email, Apple, or Google.
Health & Fitness Data: Information you enter to track your goals, including body weight and weigh-ins, height, age, sex, activity level, meals and nutrition (calories and macronutrients), water intake, workouts, and fasting sessions.
Food Photos: Images you capture or upload for AI-assisted food recognition and nutrition estimation.
Voice Input: Audio you record when using voice logging, which is converted to text.
Barcode Scans: Product barcodes you scan to look up food items.
Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting us for customer support.
Usage Data: App feature interactions, screens visited, session duration, crash logs, and performance data.
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as IDFV on iOS or an app-generated identifier on Android), language settings, and timezone.
Network Information: IP address, mobile carrier, and connection type.
With your explicit permission, Calfit may read and/or write data to Apple HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), limited to steps and body weight. This data is used only to display your activity and progress within the App. We do not use Apple Health or Health Connect data for advertising, marketing, tracking, analytics, or any use-based data mining, and we do not share it with third parties for those purposes.

We do not sell your Personal Data to any third party.
We use collected information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
Sync and back up your data across your devices so you don't lose your progress.
Analyze food photos, text, and barcodes to estimate nutrition and provide AI-assisted coaching.
Process and manage your in-app subscriptions and purchases.
Send transactional and reminder notifications (e.g., logging reminders, fasting timers) where you have enabled them.
Analyze usage patterns to improve App functionality, performance, and user experience.
Diagnose technical issues, monitor crashes, and fix bugs.
Respond to your customer support requests.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Calfit uses third-party artificial intelligence services (currently Groq) to analyze food photos, descriptions, and chat messages you submit, in order to estimate nutrition and provide coaching responses. When you use these features, the relevant content (such as a food image or text prompt) is transmitted to the AI provider for processing.
AI-generated nutrition estimates are approximate and provided for informational purposes only; they are not medical or dietary advice. Do not rely on the App as a substitute for professional medical guidance.
Calfit may offer auto-renewable subscription plans purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Renewal Charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.
Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings (App Store) or your Google Play Account Subscriptions after purchase.
Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Price Changes: Subscription prices may change. You will be notified in advance and given the opportunity to cancel before any increase takes effect.
Subscription terms are also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) and App Store terms, and by Google Play's terms, as applicable.
Calfit does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Specifically, we do not:
Use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework or collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
Integrate any advertising, attribution, or ad-network SDKs.
Use your Health, Fitness, or any other data for advertising, tracking, or use-based data mining.
Sell or share your Personal Data with data brokers or third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Analytics data collected through Firebase Analytics is anonymized and aggregated and is not used to identify you. You may opt out of analytics data collection by contacting us.
We retain your Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
Account & Health/Fitness Data: For the duration of your account; deleted within 30 days of a verified account deletion request, subject to legal retention requirements.
Subscription and Purchase Records: Up to 36 months for financial record-keeping and legal compliance.
Customer Support Data: Up to 24 months from the date of ticket closure.
Usage Data and Analytics: Up to 24 months in identifiable form; anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
Crash Logs: Up to 12 months for debugging and stability improvements.
Food Photos / AI Submissions: Processed transiently for analysis and not retained by us longer than necessary to return a result, except where cached locally on your device.
When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize Personal Data. Residual copies in encrypted backups follow our routine backup deletion schedule.
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your Personal Data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Your data is also stored locally on your device. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
You may update or correct your information at any time through the App's account and profile settings.
You have the right to request deletion of your Personal Data. You can do this by:
Using the account deletion option within the App (Settings > Delete Account), which removes your synced cloud data.

Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete your Personal Data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You may opt out of promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email or by contacting us. Transactional communications related to your account or subscriptions are not subject to opt-out. You can disable reminder notifications in your device or in-app settings.
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected, the sources, the business purposes, and the third parties with whom we shared it.
Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate Personal Information.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share (for cross-context behavioral advertising) your Personal Information.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

If you are located in the EEA or UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR apply to our processing of your Personal Data. Our legal bases for processing are:

Data Transfers: Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EEA/UK (including Pakistan and the United States). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Calfit is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us immediately at arslandvs@gmail.com. Upon verification, we will promptly delete such information.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every third-party service you interact with.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
