Valero Minority Engineering Summit
Eligibility:
Must be CURRENTLY ENROLLED as a FRESHMAN at an accredited university
Have a 3.0 GPA or higher
Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering and Pre-Engineering Majors
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Ability to attend a 4-day Summit in San Antonio, TX, on MAY 14-17, 2024 (if selected)
Application: (1) Answer 3 short response questions, (2) Write an original essay that describes your interest/passion for engineering and the role you see energy playing in our future, (3) Submit Resume, (4) Submit Transcript
Amount: $1,500

Eligibility:
Must be AIChE member
Must have completed 50% of of your degree requirement (junior standing)
Must be nominated by AIChE student chapter (ask about more information to your AiCHe Chapter
Application: (1) Statement from the nominee not to exceed 300 words, (2) A letter recommendation from the AIChE student chapter advisor of nominee’s GPA and projected completion date as well as an evaluation to the student’s academic performance and participation in AIChE and other professional activities

Eligibility:
Must be an AIChE member and entering your junior or senior year in ChemE
Minimum of 3.0 GPA
Have leadership and participation in AIChE or other university sponsored campus activity
Application: (1) A Maximum three page (750 word) essay outlining the applicant’s career goal in ChemE process industries, (2) a minimum of two letters of recommendation (one must be from the AIChE student chapter advisor and the other from either a department faculty or technical work supervisor, (3) Official copy of student transcript sent (by the school) to AIChE
