Calendar Countdown: Live Event Timer & Alerts
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) and Privacy Addendum govern your installation and use of the Chrome Calendar Countdown Banner Chrome extension (“Extension”). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.
Personal License: You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to install and use the Extension free of charge for personal, non‐commercial use (“Personal Use”).
Commercial License: Any use by a business, organization, educational institution, government, or for‐profit venture (“Commercial Use”) requires a paid subscription of USD 5.00 per User per month, unless a separate Enterprise Agreement is in place. Unauthorized Commercial Use is a material breach.
Email Address for license verification and support.
Usage Events (banner shown, dismiss clicks, setting changes, polls, errors) for analytics.
Device & Browser Info (OS, userAgent, locale, timeZone).
This data is limited use: solely to operate, improve, secure the Extension, and enforce licenses.
License Enforcement: verify paid subscriptions under Commercial Use.
Analytics & Improvement: measure feature adoption and troubleshoot errors.
User Support: diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
All data is POSTed securely to a Google Apps Script Web App under our control; we do not share or sell user data to any other third parties.
Consent: On first run, you’ll be prompted via Chrome’s OAuth dialog to grant read-only Google Calendar and email scopes. Without consent, key features will not function.
Opt-Out: Use the “Enable Banner Alerts” toggle in the popup to disable all polling and analytics tracking.
Data Deletion: Click “Purge All Event Data” in settings to clear calendar events, dismissals, alarms, and cached tokens.
Retention Period: Analytics logs (email, UUID, events) are retained for up to 36 months.
We maintain a detailed Privacy Policy that discloses our data practices and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Google API Services User Data Policy. A Limited Use Disclosure is one click away from our homepage and our privacy page.
We implement the following safeguards:
HTTPS/TLS encryption for all communications.
Secure Token Storage via Chrome Identity API, cleared on purge.
Access Controls limiting Apps Script endpoint to our developer account.
We may terminate your license for breach of these Terms—including unauthorized Commercial Use or privacy violations.
Termination does not relieve you of accrued obligations or fees.
Personal Users: Receive free updates via the Chrome Web Store.
The Extension is provided “as-is,” without any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Our total liability is capped at the greater of USD 10 or the total fees paid in the twelve months before the claim.
All rights, title, and interest in the Extension remain with us.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be exclusively heard in the Delaware Court of Chancery or, if not available, in the Superior Court of Delaware in New Castle County. You and we each consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
