Conference Planning Work Group is open to medical students who are interested in gaining experience planning a medical education conference.
Attend California ACEP’s free advocacy day: Legislative Leadership Conference, *LEADER, which happens yearly, March/April.
Attend a California ACEP Board Meeting: these meetings are open to all members and typically take place in Sacramento, with the exception of the meeting held the day before our annual *LEADER conference.

Attend California ACEP’s free advocacy day: Legislative Leadership Conference, *LEADER, happening yearly.
Join a California ACEP committee: Government Affairs Committee (GAC) or Reimbursement Committee.
Attend a California ACEP Board Meeting: these meetings are open to all members and typically take place in Sacramento, with the exception of the meeting held the day before our annual conference.
One resident per program, per meeting is eligible to receive up to $400 in reimbursement for travel expenses related to attending the Board Meeting.
Funding includes a hotel room for the Board Meetings held in conjunction with *LEADER and ADVANCED.
California ACEP is the only State Chapter to have its own EMRA.
CalEMRA is its own organization and is assisted by California ACEP staff. Each program has a representative to CalEMRA who participates in occasional all-program calls.
Each year, resident members of California ACEP vote for CalEMRA President-Elect.
The President of CalEMRA has a seat on the California ACEP Board and is a full voting member.
At the discretion of the CalEMRA President and President-Elect, appointed positions are created that residents can apply to.
