Seminars Organized:
UBC-PIMS Harmonic Analysis + Fractal Geometry Seminar. I am currently co-organizer of the research seminar (together with Dr. Joshua Zahl) for the HA+FG group at UBC. Together with Dr. Alexia Yavicoli, I restarted the HA+FG Seminar in 2021 following COVID-19 lockdowns. This is a hybrid seminar, and during my time as organizer, we had 30+ speakers from 12+ institutions.
PIMS Emerging Leader Lecture Series. This invited lecture series, which was funded by PIMS, invited early-career women and non-binary persons for week-long visits to the HA+FG research group at UBC. There was a special emphasis on inviting visible minorities and 2SLGBTQIA+ persons. All visitor expenses were paid for by PIMS out of the Emerging Leader Lecture Series grant, for which I was grant writer.
Collaborative Research Groups:
Covering Fractals by Curves, SQuaRE, American Institute of Mathematics. Together with Dr. Krystal Taylor, Dr. Rosemarie Bongers and Paige Bright, I am a member of the Covering Fractals by Curves collaborative small research group. Our group examines problems in fractal geometry related to curve packing and projection theory. We currently have three years of funding to travel to the American Institute of Mathematics for week-long workshop intensives. I am a co-organizer and co-writer for our grant.
