This Privacy Policy explains how Calculator ("the App") collects, uses, and handles information when you use our simple calculator app with loan, interest, currency, and history tools. The App is developed and operated by Eretmochelys Imbricata (located in Gujarat, India).
We take your privacy seriously. The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. Any data recovery or local operations happen entirely on your device.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android version of Calculator available on Google Play. It describes our practices regarding any information the App may handle, in line with Google Play Developer Program Policies, GDPR (for EU users), CCPA/CPRA (for California residents), and CalOPPA (California Online Privacy Protection Act).
By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We do not collect any personal data that identifies you (such as name, email, phone number, or address).
The App processes all calculator inputs, loan calculations, interest results, currency conversions, and history locally on your device. This data never leaves your device through our application and is not transmitted to us or any third party by the App itself.
We may receive anonymous, non-personal usage data through third-party services (detailed in Section 7) to understand feature usage and fix crashes. This data does not identify you.
Under GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases where any processing occurs:
Legitimate interests — to improve app performance, fix bugs, and provide a better user experience through anonymous analytics and crash reporting.
Consent — for non-essential features like certain notifications or advertising (you can withdraw consent via device settings).
Contractual necessity — for in-app purchases and subscriptions handled by Google Play.
No sensitive personal data is processed.
The App requests only the minimum permissions needed to function properly. Here is a clear explanation of each:
android.permission.INTERNET (Network Access) Required for downloading occasional updates, serving advertisements (via AdMob, AdX, and Facebook/Meta Audience Network), and communicating with Firebase services for anonymous analytics and crash reports. Without this, ads and certain performance tools would not work.
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Notification Access) Used to send optional notifications about app updates, premium feature reminders, or important calculator-related alerts. These enhance your experience and are not used for marketing spam. You can disable notifications anytime in your device settings.
android.permission.VIBRATE (Vibration Control) Allows the App to provide gentle haptic feedback (vibration) when you press buttons or receive alerts. This improves usability and does not collect or transmit any data.
You can review and manage these permissions at any time through your Android device settings. The App does not request unnecessary permissions.
All user-generated data (calculations, history, settings) is stored locally on your device using secure Android storage methods (such as Room Database). It never leaves your device via the App.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect the limited anonymous data handled by third-party SDKs. However, no system is completely risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security against every possible threat.
The App uses the following libraries and SDKs. We have selected them for performance, reliability, and minimal data impact. Many are for local functionality only.
Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Performance Monitoring) Firebase Analytics collects unidentified app usage data (e.g., which features you use most) and crash reports to help us improve stability and performance. Firebase Crashlytics helps fix crashes quickly. Firebase Cloud Messaging may be used for optional notifications. Firebase Performance Monitoring tracks app speed anonymously. SDP (com.intuit.sdp:sdp-android:1.1.1) and SSP (com.intuit.ssp:ssp-android:1.1.1) These libraries help make the user interface responsive and text sizes consistent across different screen sizes and device ratios. They do not collect or transmit any data.
Dagger Hilt Used for dependency injection to make the code cleaner and more maintainable. It does not handle user data.
RoomDb (Android Jetpack Room) Local database for storing your calculator history, settings, and preferences on your device. No data is shared with third parties.
Gson (Google) Helps handle internal JSON data conversion within the App. No external data sharing.
Lottie (Airbnb) Renders smooth animations to make the interface more visually appealing. No data collection.
Retrofit + OkHttp (Square) Used for secure network requests where needed (e.g., currency rates if applicable in future updates). Logging tools are disabled in production and do not collect user data.
Glide Efficient image loading and caching for any icons or visuals in the App. No personal data involved.
AndroidX ViewModel and Kotlin Coroutines Help manage the user interface smoothly and handle background tasks without affecting battery life. No data collection or sharing.

The App shows advertisements through Google AdMob, AdX, and Facebook (Meta) Audience Network. These services may use device advertising identifiers and anonymous usage data to show relevant ads.
We use Firebase Analytics for anonymous insights into how the App is used.
You can limit ad tracking through your device settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). For more information:

The App does not use traditional web cookies. Third-party advertising and analytics services may use device identifiers or similar technologies. These are managed according to their own policies (linked above).
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no detailed processing of identifiable information. Anonymous usage statistics (if any) are processed solely to improve the App.
Local data (calculations and history) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics data is retained by third-party services according to their policies (usually 14–26 months for Firebase, subject to change).
The App offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions for premium features.
All payments and subscriptions are handled safely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions: They renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play account settings. You keep premium access until the current period ends.
Purchase Information: Google may share limited, non-personal details (e.g., subscription status) with us so we can unlock features.
Refunds & Cancellations: All refund requests go through Google Play following their rules.
Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your purchase information with any third parties except as required by Google for verification.
All in-app purchases and subscriptions follow Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

The App does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers because it is a native Android application. You can control tracking via device advertising settings.
Any limited anonymous data sent to Firebase or advertising partners may be transferred to servers outside India (including the United States). These transfers are protected by the providers’ standard contractual clauses and privacy frameworks.
We do not engage in or support any malware, network misuse, or harmful activities. The App is designed only for legitimate calculator functions.
The App may contain links to external sites (e.g., for support). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their policies.
The App is not targeted at or intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may disclose anonymous or limited information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights and safety.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change. We recommend reviewing it periodically. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
