App Name: Calculator Vault
Welcome to Calculator Vault. By downloading, accessing, or using the Calculator Vault mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Your privacy is our priority. Calculator Vault is designed with a zero-knowledge architecture to keep your personal files strictly confidential.
a. Local Storage: All photos, videos, audio, and files stored within the App are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption and saved entirely on your local device. We do not have access to your local files or your master PIN.
b. Cloud Backup and Google Drive Integration If you opt-in to the Cloud Backup feature, you must authenticate via Google Sign-In and Calculator Vault will request access to an App Data folder in your personal Google Drive.
Your Data Stays Yours: Backups are securely uploaded directly to a hidden, private AppData folder inside your own Google Drive.
No Developer Access: We do not host your backups on our own servers. The developer has absolutely no access to your Google Drive files, your Google account, or your encrypted backups.
Zero-Knowledge: All files are fully encrypted on your device before being uploaded to your Google Drive. We cannot view, read, or share your files.
c. Intruder Selfie Feature: If enabled, the App may use your device's camera to capture a photo of anyone attempting to guess your PIN. These photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
d. Firebase Authentication: If you purchase Premium or use cloud features, we use Firebase Authentication to securely manage your account. This collects your email address solely for account management and subscription verification.
e. Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., app open events, crashes) to improve app stability. This never includes file names, media content, PINs, or any sensitive data.
We use the following third-party services which may collect data according to their respective privacy policies:
Google AdMob: We use AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads.
Firebase / Google Cloud: Used for account management, authentication, and remote configurations.
RevenueCat: Used to securely manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Camera: Required for the Intruder Selfie feature and taking private photos directly within the vault.
Storage / Media: Required to import files from your device into the secure vault.
Biometrics: Used strictly locally to allow you to unlock the App using Fingerprint or FaceID.
You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from within the App's Settings > Security menu. Deleting the App from your device will instantly delete all locally encrypted files. Since we cannot decrypt your data, we cannot recover files if you forget your PIN.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the App on your mobile device for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
PIN Management: You are entirely responsible for remembering your master PIN. Because of our zero-knowledge encryption architecture, if you forget your PIN, your data cannot be recovered.
Lawful Use: You agree not to use the App to store or distribute illegal, infringing, or harmful content. You must comply with all local, state, and international laws regarding digital data storage.
Calculator Vault offers a Premium subscription that unlocks additional features (such as increased storage limits , unlock the cloud storage and ad removal). Subscriptions are billed through your respective app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store settings.
"As Is" Basis: The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
Data Loss: While we employ strong AES-256 encryption, digital storage is never 100% immune to hardware failure, OS corruption, or user error. We are not liable for any loss of data, photos, or files. You are strongly encouraged to maintain independent backups or utilize the encrypted Google Drive sync feature.
Disguise Limitations: The App provides a calculator disguise and security overlay. We do not guarantee that third parties (such as forensic analysts or determined individuals with physical access to your unlocked device) cannot discover the existence of the vault.
We may update our Terms and Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document or via an in-app notification.
