Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 30, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how KIYANA FASHION (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile application Calculator: Simple Calc (the “App”). The App is a simple calculator that includes calculation history, loan and interest tools, and a currency converter.
The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use its core features. Calculation history and most app data are processed and stored locally on your device.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Policy is designed to align with Google Play Developer Program Policies (including User Data and Data Safety requirements), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area, the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
2. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the App’s main features.
Information processed locally on your device
Calculation history and related calculator data are stored locally using Room (SQLite).
Loan, interest, and currency conversion calculations are performed on your device.
Any data recovery or history viewing happens locally on your device and does not leave it through our application for these core features.
Information collected or processed by third-party services
When you use certain features or when ads and analytics are active, third-party services may collect limited technical and usage information. This can include:
Device information (model, operating system version, unique device identifiers)
App usage data and interaction events
Crash and diagnostic information
Approximate location or network information derived from IP address (for ads or analytics)
Advertising identifiers
Limited non-personal purchase or subscription status information from Google Play
We do not collect, store, or process payment card details, Google account passwords, or other sensitive financial credentials. Those are handled exclusively by Google Play Billing.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we (and the third parties we use) process information on the following legal bases:
Consent – for non-essential permissions (such as notifications), analytics, and personalized advertising where required.
Legitimate interests – to provide core App functionality, improve stability via crash reporting, deliver relevant ads, and maintain security.
Contractual necessity – to deliver in-app purchases and subscriptions you request.
Legal obligation – when we must respond to lawful requests from authorities.
You may withdraw consent at any time through device settings or by contacting us.
4. Permissions We Use in Our App and Why
The App requests the following Android permissions. You can manage or revoke them at any time in your device settings.
INTERNET Permission (android.permission.INTERNET)
Required so the App can make network requests. It is used by the Currency Converter feature to fetch live exchange rates and currency data from external APIs via Retrofit. Without this permission the currency conversion feature cannot retrieve up-to-date rates. The permission is also needed for Firebase services, advertising SDKs, and any cloud messaging.
VIBRATE Permission (android.permission.VIBRATE)
Allows the App to provide haptic feedback (device vibration) when you press buttons or perform certain actions. This improves usability and confirms interactions. The App only triggers vibration in response to your direct actions inside the App.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Permission (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
Required on Android 13 (API level 33) and higher to display notifications. The App uses this (together with Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send notifications after you grant permission. You can deny or later revoke this permission; the App will still function without notifications.
We request only the permissions necessary for the features described. The App does not request access to contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, storage beyond what is needed for its own local data, or other sensitive permissions.
5. Data Storage and Security
Core calculator data, including calculation history, is stored locally on your device using the Room database (an SQLite abstraction). This data remains on your device and is not uploaded to our servers for the main calculator, history, loan, or interest features.
Third-party services (Firebase, advertising networks) store and process the limited technical and usage data they collect on their own secure servers according to their respective privacy policies.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to keep your device updated and to use standard device security features.
When you uninstall the App, locally stored data on your device is typically removed by the operating system.
6. Third-Party Libraries & SDKs Used in Our App
The App uses the following libraries and SDKs. Each may process limited technical data as described in their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies.
Core AndroidX and UI libraries
AndroidX Core KTX, AppCompat, Material Components, Activity, ConstraintLayout, RecyclerView, AndroidX Graphics Animation, Lifecycle ViewModel KTX, Lifecycle Runtime KTX These provide standard Android compatibility, modern UI components, layouts, list displays (including calculation history), animations, and lifecycle-aware data handling. They generally process data only on-device.
Image and animation libraries
Glide – efficient image loading and caching.
Coil – lightweight Kotlin-first image loading.
Lottie – high-quality JSON-based animations (loading, success, empty states). These primarily process images and animation assets on-device or via network only when assets are loaded.
Networking and JSON
Retrofit (with Gson Converter and/or Moshi Converter, Moshi Kotlin, Moshi Codegen via KSP) Used to communicate with the currency rate API and convert JSON responses into usable data. Network requests occur only when you use the Currency Converter feature.
Local database
Room Runtime, Room KTX, Room Compiler (KSP) Provides structured local SQLite storage for calculation history with compile-time validation and coroutine support. All data stays on your device.
Asynchronous programming
Kotlin Coroutines Enables non-blocking API and database operations so the user interface remains responsive.
Firebase services (Google)
Firebase Analytics – collects anonymous interaction data to understand feature usage and improve the App.
Firebase Firestore – cloud NoSQL database used when application data synchronization is required.
Firebase Crashlytics – automatically collects crash reports, stack traces, and diagnostics to help identify and fix issues.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) – enables push notifications.
