Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 21, 2026
Last Updated: April 21, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how CalCul handles information when you use the app.
CalCul is a 100% offline Android application. The app is designed to function locally on your device without transmitting your data to the developer or third parties.
2. No Data Collection
CalCul does not collect, transmit, upload, share, sell, rent, or otherwise receive your personal data or app data.
No Data Collection means:
no account creation is required
no analytics are used to collect your data for the developer
no advertising SDKs are used to collect your data for the developer
no cloud sync or remote developer server is used to store your app data
no personal information is transmitted to the developer
For Google Play Data Safety purposes, CalCul is intended to operate on a no data collected basis by the developer because user data is stored and processed locally on the device and is not transmitted off-device by the app to the developer.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
To provide app functionality, CalCul stores data locally on your device only. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
calculation history
finance records you create
plans, reminders, and related reminder state
app settings and preferences, such as theme, language, typography, haptics, and precision settings
limited onboarding and reminder-recovery metadata needed for app behavior on your device
CalCul uses the following local storage technologies:
SQLite (via Room) for structured app data
Jetpack DataStore for app settings and lightweight local preferences
a limited SharedPreferences file for reminder snapshot and recovery metadata
4. How Local Data Is Used
All locally stored data is used only to operate the app on your device, including to:
save and display your history and records
restore your settings and preferences
support reminders and app behavior
preserve your experience between app sessions
The developer does not access this local data.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
Because CalCul does not collect or receive your data from the app, the developer does not share your data with third parties through the app.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because CalCul stores data locally on your device only, the developer does not keep a server-side copy of your data.
Your local app data remains on your device until one or more of the following happens:
you delete specific content within the app, where that feature is available
you clear the app's data or storage in Android settings
you uninstall the app
Full deletion of locally stored app data generally occurs when you clear app data or uninstall the app.
7. Device Backup and Restore
CalCul itself does not send your data to the developer. However, Android or your device manufacturer may provide system-level backup or device-to-device restore features.
If such features are enabled on your device, some app data stored locally may be included in backup or restore processes controlled by Android, Google, or your device manufacturer. These processes are outside the developer's direct control.
The developer does not access or review those backups.
8. Payments
CalCul is offered as a one-time purchase.
Any billing or payment transaction is handled by the app store or platform provider, such as Google Play, under that provider's own terms and privacy practices. The developer does not receive your payment card number or full payment credentials through the app.
9. Security
CalCul relies on Android's app sandbox and private app storage mechanisms to store data locally on your device.
While reasonable efforts are made to support secure local storage, no storage method or device environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, including screen lock, backup settings, and physical device protection.
10. Children's Privacy
CalCul does not knowingly collect personal data from children because the app does not collect user data off-device.
11. International Data Transfers
The developer does not transfer your data internationally because the app does not transmit your data to the developer.
Any device-level backup or restore process is governed by your platform provider, device manufacturer, or applicable service provider.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If updated, the Last Updated date above will be revised. Continued use of CalCul after an updated Privacy Policy becomes available means you accept the revised version.
