This Privacy Policy explains how CalcMate: Calculator Tools (package name: com.shinomain.calcmate) handles information when you use the Android application. By using CalcMate, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information you enter

CalcMate processes the numbers and values you enter to provide calculator results, including basic maths, GST, discount, percentage, EMI, SIP, BMI, age, fuel cost, tip splitting and unit conversions. These calculation inputs and results are processed on your device and are not intentionally sent to our servers.

2. Information stored on your device

The app may store limited preferences locally, such as whether onboarding has been completed and the interaction count used to decide when configured in-app content should be shown. You can remove this locally stored information by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

3. Firebase Remote Config

CalcMate uses Google Firebase Remote Config to receive configuration values, such as whether optional in-app content is enabled, its title, destination URL and the number of interactions before it is displayed. Firebase services may process technical information needed to provide this feature, which can include an app installation identifier, app and device information, IP address, language or locale, app version, configuration fetch status and timestamps.

4. In-app web content and external websites

When enabled through Remote Config, CalcMate may open a configured HTTPS webpage inside an in-app browser. Although the page appears within CalcMate, the website is operated independently and may collect information, use cookies or apply its own privacy policy. CalcMate does not control the data practices or content of third-party websites. Review the privacy policy of any webpage before providing personal information.

5. Advertising and accounts

The current version of CalcMate does not include third-party advertising and does not require you to create an account. If these practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the relevant store disclosures will be updated before or when the new functionality is released.

6. How information is used

Technical information associated with Remote Config is used to:

deliver and refresh app configuration;

enable or disable optional in-app content;

maintain app reliability and troubleshoot errors; and

protect the app and connected services from abuse.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent personal information. Limited technical information may be processed by Google as our service provider for Firebase Remote Config and related Firebase infrastructure. Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law, regulation or a valid legal request.

8. Data retention and deletion

Local preferences remain on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Technical data processed by Firebase is retained according to Google's applicable retention practices. CalcMate does not maintain user accounts or a separate server-side database of calculator inputs.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect the app and its configuration. However, no electronic transmission, mobile application or storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Children's privacy

CalcMate is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app or linked content, contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

11. Your choices

You may use the core calculator features without creating an account.

You may avoid opening optional in-app web content.

You may clear locally stored app information through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its services or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted at the same public URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after an update means the revised policy applies.
