Richa is a promising young Bharatanatyam dancer from Jersey City, NJ USA. She has been learning Bharatnatyam since the young age of five under watchful eyes of Guru Calai Chandra of Calai Chandra School of Bharatanatyam. Richa has gained good control of nritta techniques and abhinaya through a lot of training, dedication, and hard work.
Since a very young age, Richa has learned and participated in several forms of dances; practicing Bharatanatyam has added grace in all of her performances. Richa is part of a non profit group Jallosh, where she has participated in several performances based on Indian musical instruments and performances that has contributed to a donation of over one hundred thousand dollars for the education of underprivileged kids in India.
Richa has also performed Bharatnatyam during her school’s international festival to showcase Indian classical dances which was highly appreciated by her entire school.
