About Me!

Assalamu 'alaykum!

I'm Mahdiya! Currently a senior at UH, majoring in public health, minoring in biology & psychology, on the pre-vet med track, with a passion for baking and decorating cakes! I've been baking with my mom since the day I was born, and I slowly started doing things on my own. Eventually, I sold my first cake in June of 2019, and it all flourished from there, Alhamdulillah.

Alongside my mom's catering business from home (Bimakha Food Fusion), I also run my bakery.

Fun Fact: For the 2023 MIST (Muslim Interscholastic Tournament) held at UH every year, I was a senior in high school when I participated in the culinary competition and won 1st Place with my signature carrot cake with cream cheese frosting! It's simple, yet speaks for itself loudly. Feel free to try it anytime you want!

Why "Bimakha"?

The story behind our name is actually an anagram that combines our family members' names into one! 

Bi-ma-kha. Pronounced as bee-mah-kha.
