Give Back to Epsilon Psi — Strengthen Our Brotherhood for Years to Come!
Delta Tau Delta established its national philanthropic partnership with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) in 2012. This partnership engages the Fraternity’s more than 130 chapters and colonies on college campuses nationwide to work closely with local JDRF chapters to help raise funds and awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D). Since the partnership began, Delta Tau Delta chapters have raised nearly $2 million for T1D research. Additionally, Delta Tau Delta undergraduates and alumni have contributed countless hours of service through local T1D chapter events. The partnership between Delta Tau Delta and Breakthrough T1D strives to create multiple avenues for philanthropy and creativity, from volunteering at T1D galas and forming walk teams to creating campus fundraising and awareness events to benefit T1D research.
Since the chapter's return to campus in 2019 we have hosted one philanthropy each semester. In total, the chapter has raised close to $5,000 for Breakthrough T1D.
In 2025, we were excited to host our second annual One Week, a philanthropy week including selling donuts and coffee, hosting a garage sell, having a giveback night at El Paso, hosting our semesterly Pelt-a-Delt, and selling hot dogs. We were able to raise just over $2,000, our largest philanthropy event to date.

Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone people need to get energy from food. T1D strikes both children and adults, and its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is currently nothing you can do to prevent it, and there is no cure.

The Epsilon Psi Chapter of Delta Tau Delta proudly supports Breakthrough T1D, the organization dedicated to funding research and advancing treatments for Type 1 Diabetes. Students, parents, and alumni can support our fundraising goals by attending chapter philanthropy events, making direct donations to our fundraising campaigns, sponsoring events, or helping spread awareness within their networks. Alumni and families can also support by partnering with the chapter to provide sponsorships, auction items, or matching gifts through their employers. Every contribution—whether through participation, advocacy, or financial support—helps our chapter continue its commitment to making a meaningful impact in the fight against Type 1 Diabetes.
