Caitlin Morgrove (aka Caitlin Moehrle) is a writer, classically-trained musician, composer, and lover of the mystical and macabre. With sentient cellos and mournful selkies, her prose and narratively-inspired music turn the unexpected into the commonplace.
In 2024, she graduated summa cum laude from Hamilton College with her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Music. Her years there were filled with concerts as a violinist for the Hamilton College Orchestra and roundtable discussions as an editor for the Red Weather Literary Magazine. For her work in the Department of Literature and Creative Writing, she received the Thomas E. Meehan Prize in Creative Writing and the Kellogg Essay Prize.
A mix of fantasy, speculative fiction, romance, horror, and mystery is her genre wheelhouse. For her words, she favors morally-gray characters and historically-inspired settings. For her notes, she strays toward sweeping strings and jarringly dissonant chords.
