In college, I was a volunteer docent at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. During my time there, I rewrote the section of the Docent Guide for Roman Busts. The guide for that section of their Roman exhibit was outdated and not inclusive to all members of the museum.
In college and as a recent graduate, I volunteered with IJAG (Iowa Jobs for American Graduates). This program is designed for high school students who are considered at-risk or to have other barriers to transition to future employment.
I was asked to create this presentation on Practicing Effective Human Relations in the Workplace in 2012.
If I were to recreate this lesson today, I would incorporate a greater variety of media types and add more opportunities for interaction.
